Ant’s Construction workers are busily at work building the foundation and walls of the long-anticipated Birth Waiting Home. Saving the lives of pregnant women by bringing them close to health care is the goal of the project. Designed by Gauri Kelkar, Masters of Architecture at the U of MN, as her graduate project, the home will have a capacity for 12 pregnant women with one family member accompanying each of them. Plans are to begin operating in early 2017.
