Carrie Vogelsang, MPH works part-time at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and co-founded a consulting partnership, Collective Progress, which focuses on social research and evaluation. She received her Masters in Public Health from the University of Minnesota and her BA in International Relations and Business from the University of Southern California. Carrie is a public health professional whose research and work experience includes maternal and child health initiatives. She is a published author in peer-reviewed journals, legislative reports, and online at Every Mother Counts.
Carrie has professional and volunteer experience working internationally, including two assignments with the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic and Zambia. While in Zambia, she worked as a Health Systems Strengthening Advisor during the pilot phase of the Saving Mothers, Giving Life multi-agency initiative to reduce maternal mortality. She is actively involved with program development activities with RHCI and is involved in work with multiple groups focused on advancing health equity in the Twin Cities.
