After a stunning performance by Duniya Drum and Dance, The Third Annual Taste of Africa started off with a message from Senator Amy Klobuchar. Pastor Neil Craigan from First Presbyterian Church in White Bear Lake was the key note speaker, inspiring everyone to share our abundance.
RHCI Board Chair Sarah Cassell presented an appreciation award to Jonathon Rose, RHCI Treasurer. With over 200 people in attendance, the amount of donations came to approximately $16,000 plus a number of monthly pledges. Everyone enjoyed the delicious African food from Fasika Ethiopian Restaurant, Afro Deli, Chef Kumba Senesie and Bole Ethiopian Cuisanne. Thank you to everyone who attended, to the performers, caterers, volunteers and to all our supporters. Because of you, we can make a difference to the families in rural Sierra Leone.
