In Sierra Leone, Transportation is Critical

By September 27, 2019October 2nd, 2019No Comments

RHCI’s 4-wheel drive Toyota Hilux is back in operation, after damages were repaired from a truck hitting it while parked in Bo. Without this critical form of transportation for two weeks, RHCI’s work in the Tikonko Chiefdom was hampered.

But thanks to two donations, RHCI has now purchased a used Toyota Land Cruiser in good condition to be its back-up vehicle. Thank you to the Greg and Peg Palen Family through the Catholic Community Fund for the generous $5000 Grant and to another generous donor.

With plans to develop an Outreach Motorbike Clinic in the Gondama Community Health Center catchment area, RHCI is the recipient of $1500 grant to purchase a motorbike for this purpose. The donation came from the Petrie Hanson Family through the National Philanthropic Trust.  Thank you to Alexa Hoffer for choosing RHCI to receive this grant.
