We’d like to share our impact numbers from the calendar year 2023 with you.  These numbers demonstrate our growth and our expanding reach in the Tikonko Chiefdom. With the help of our many supporters, donors, and several small grants, RHCI is accomplishing its mission to partner with rural communities in Sierra Leone, to rebuild health care systems and to overcome one of the world’s highest mortality rates for women and children.

Since it’s founding over a decade ago, RHCI has focussed  its programs in the Tikonko Chiefdom on mothers, babies and children.  Over 1300 pregnant and post-partum women and babies have stayed at our two Birth Waiting Homes in Tikonko and Gondama since 2018, giving them access to skilled care for childbirth.  The lives of many mothers and babies have been saved as a result of RHCI’s in-country dedicated staff and the resources provided from the USA.

Our impact for 2023:

  • 18 Full-time and over 60 part-time local staff employed by RHCI
  • 481 Basic obstetric ultrasounds performed by RHCI Staff using RHCI equipment

Each point of impact improved and sometime even saved the life of the individual being treated.

Thank you to the generous and faithful donors to RHCI who truly are partners in our work.  Because of you, we are able to make a big difference in the lives of many families in Sierra Leone.  Together we are making the world a better place.
